A team of students specializing in Agricultural Geography from the Geography Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh, took part in an inspiring cleanliness drive and awareness campaign as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The drive took place in the surroundings of Riva Waterfall, Solan, and aimed at promoting environmental conservation and cleanliness.
The students, accompanied by Dr. Ajay Kumar, a faculty member, organized the campaign as part of an educational trip to the ICAR Mushroom Research Centre in Solan. While exploring the area and gaining insights into agricultural research, the students also took the opportunity to clean the vicinity of the Riva Waterfall, removing litter and raising awareness about maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Through this activity, the Geography Department aims to contribute to Swachh Bharat initiatives and inspire local communities to engage in sustainable practices.
