Patrons at a Teesside pub have been hit with a controversial new dress code which will see a number of ‘designer’ fashion items banned from the premises.The Wobbly Goblin, located in Stockton-on-Tees, introduced its strict new clothing policies on Sunday evening on its Facebook page.In a comprehensive list, the Durham boozer banned a host of designer items such as Christian Louboutin’s and Ugg boots.Tattoos were also included, with head, neck and face tattoos all resulting in a refusal of entry for would-be customers.Other prohibited fashion accessories included bubble trainers, big rings and chains and no flip flops. The Wobbly Goblin in Stockton-On-Tees announced a controversial new dress code over the weekend, banning items such as ugg boots and gilet jacets Ugg boots are one of the most popular fashion items included on The Wobbly Goblin’s list of banned clothes The entirety of The Wobbly Goblin’s new dress code from their Sunday evening Facebook postWith almost 500 comments to date under the pub’s original Facebook post, many patrons reacted angrily to the change in policy.One person commented that she ‘used to go in here after work on a weekend a lot of years ago and the best part of the wobbly was the edgy people in there!’ Other users added ‘good look with that’ and ‘that’s hilarious’.Another person said; ‘Can all our customers stop coming in please. Wouldn’t that have been easier to type?’Multiple users took aim at the stipulation regarding tattoos in particular, with many labelling it ‘discrimination’. One woman with a neck tattoo commented under the post; ‘Good luck staying open! Laughing my head off at the tattoo bit! I have a neck tattoo doesn’t make me a bad person, be glad to never come back with that attitude’.The other banned items of clothing included ‘big boss logos’, ‘gilet jackets’ and the placing of ‘big puffer jackets’ in the cloakroom.
