Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has revealed they were originally meant to be in South America for five days, but extended their trip to two weeks, days before his death aged 31.The singer tragically died on Wednesday after falling from his room at the Casa Sur Palmero Hotel in Buenos Aires.Kate, 25, left South America to fly back to her home in Florida just two days before his death, after their two-week trip in Argentina.And documenting her flight home, Kate admitted she and Liam were only due to be in South America for a brief trip but decided last minute to extend it.In a TikTok video, she said: ‘We were supposed to be there [South America] for like five days but it turned into two weeks and I was just like, I need to go home.’ Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy, 25, has revealed they were originally meant to be in South America for five days, but extended their trip to two weeks days before his death aged 31 Kate left South America to fly back to her home in Florida just two days before his death , after their two-week trip in Argentina The singer tragically died on Wednesday after falling from his room at the Casa Sur Palmero Hotel in Buenos Aires (pictured in 2019)Kate and Liam originally flew to Buenos Aires to watch his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan’s concert on October 4, and he remained in the country after his girlfriend flew home. TMZ reports that despite Liam and Kate jetting away together to South America, she returned home on October 14 with the singer reportedly checking into Casa Sur alone. Emergency services are believed to be present outside the hotel, where a red tent has been erected at the scene.  Investigations into the singer’s death are ongoing. City ambulance service provider spokesman Alberto Crescenti said he had fallen around 40 metres and suffered ‘severe injuries which were incompatible with life.’ He said: ‘The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur.’At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead.’Afterwards we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal.
