Tom Hiddleston looks dapper as he continues filming for The Night Manager season two in Barcelona

Tom Hiddleston looked to be in great spirits as he continued filming for The Night Manager season two on Thursday. The actor, 43, was seen filming some sequences for the second series of the hit BBC as the cast in the Spanish city of Sitges, just south of Barcelona. Tom was very attentive and friendly with his colleagues and friends on the set as he mingled with the crew. The Thor star looked rather dapper in a simple black blazer jacket and dark grey T-shirt. Tom will return as his character Jonathan Pine, while Hugh Laurie is back to reprise his role as arms dealer and villain Dickie Roper. Yet now the Victoria Secret’s model, 27, has reportedly replaced Elizabeth.However Camilla wasn’t seen on set on Thursday. Back in July Tom and Hugh were seen filming in Richmond-upon-Thames, with Hugh’s appearance coming as a major shock to many fans after his character met his demise during the show’s first series.The notorious arms dealer was last seen at the end of the BBC One thriller’s first series being forcibly taken away, seemingly to face his demise. A source commented on his unexpected return last month, and told The Sun: ‘Everyone was working on the basis he’d been killed in series one, so this will come as a pleasant surprise. ‘It’s only going to crank up the excitement for the much-anticipated sequel, which has already started filming and is expected to air next year.’ Inspired by the characters in John le Carré’s best-selling novel, the first series won multiple BAFTAs, Emmy Awards, and Golden Globes and was watched by more than ten million viewers, making it one of 2016’s most watched TV shows. I can’t wait.’Back in July Tom was spotted on set for the first time, as he sprinted down London’s famous South Bank for the show. It was a long night for the Loki actor as he filmed the tense outdoor scene at 4am in the morning. Tom did nothing to calm the rumours around the upcoming series when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year.Questioned by the US talk show host about Hugh Laurie’s potential return to the show, the actor said: ‘I don’t know. He is a huge influence – he knows the character better than anyone.’ The series is back after the explosive season one finale in 2016 The series also starred Hugh as well as Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, David Harewood and Elizabeth Debicki, however they weren’t seen on set  Fans have had a long wait for the follow up of the hit BBC show after nearly a decade wait Kimmel replied: ‘This seems for sure like a lie because you just said you figured out the story. I hope that in some way we can pay homage to his uneasy genius in this new exploration.’Discussing working with Tom again he added: ‘I am thrilled to be working again with Tom Hiddleston, Stephen Garrett and The Ink Factory team, and to be welcoming the brilliant director Georgi Banks-Davies into our ranks.’Meanwhile BAFTA winner Georgi Banks-Davies is set to direct the series, after the show’s former director, Susanne Bier, previously ruled herself out of the running.
