Boy, 15, is stabbed at Sloane Square Tube station

A 15-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed at a London tube station during school rush hour, as horrified witnesses described the scene as a ‘bloodbath’. The teenager was stabbed outside Sloane Square Underground station just before 3.20pm today and was later taken to a major trauma centre. The schoolboy’s condition is ‘not life-threatening or life changing’, Metropolitan Police confirmed.Emergency services including an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and an air ambulance attended the incident on Lower Sloane Street. Met Police said no arrests have been made so far.  Police parked outside Sloane Square Underground station this afternoon following the stabbing (pictured)  A police officer standing outside the cordon around Sloane Square Underground station  The teenager was stabbed outside Sloane Square Underground station just before 3.20pm today and was later taken to a major trauma centreOne commuter, who witnessed the stabbing, said: ‘It was a bloodbath. The kid had blood pouring from him.’It was horrific. I could hear lots of screaming and general panic. Children were running in all directions.’There was workers wondering what on earth was going on. Someone tried to help him and calm him down but he was just screaming.’A lot of commuters just stood in shock. There were also tourists in disbelief.’The air ambulance arrived swiftly. It was total chaos. People were running everywhere.’The young lad was screaming out for help.’  A cordon which was put in place this afternoon around Sloane Square tube station  Met Police said the boy’s condition is ‘not life-threatening or life changing’A local employee said: ‘A schoolboy was stabbed outside of the news agents, he ran inside the station for help, I came out (of the shop) to see why everyone was running and screaming away — it was horrific, nothing happens like that here’.’He looked young, like a baby.’Another local employee working on Sloane gardens said: ‘I heard five or six screams. The noise, it was horrible, like an animal being hurt or something’.  On X, formerly known as Twitter, one user wrote: ‘There was a boy with blood dripping saying he got stabbed.’There were loads of school kids running towards him.’ A spokesman for Met Police said: ‘Police were called at 15.27hrs on Monday, 07 October to reports of a stabbing on Lower Sloane Street, Sloane Square. Police said enquiries into the stabbing continue and no arrests have been made at this time ‘Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found who they believe to be a 15-year-old boy, suffering from a stab injury. ‘He has been taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.’Enquiries continue.
