Two tearaway teenagers have been jailed for a spree of car burglaries in which they stole £300k worth of high end motors.Rio Halls and Kyron Clifton, both 19, broke into properties to steal car keys before fleeing with luxury vehicles including BMWs, Mercedes and Range Rovers.The pair acted together – and sometimes separately – to target addresses across Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton between August 2023 and April 2024.West Midlands Police has said families were left devastated after having intruders in their homes. Rio Halls, 19, was jailed for six years and six months at Wolverhampton Crown Court for being involved in more than 25 burglaries or attempted burglaries Kyron Clifton, also 19, was sentenced to four years and nine months after being found to have been involved in just under 20 burglaries or attempted burglariesHalls also committed offences in Staffordshire, while Clifton committed one in Birmingham.The pair admitted conspiracy to commit burglary after a range of evidence – including strong forensics – linked them to the crimes.Halls was involved in more than 25 burglaries or attempted burglaries, and Clifton in just under 20.Halls, of Coalpool, was jailed for six years and six months at Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 21.Clifton, of Darlaston, was sentenced to four years and nine months.The investigation was led by Wolverhampton’s CID team.A force spokesperson said: ‘It is believed others were also involved the series of burglaries.’Enquiries are continuing and we’d encourage anyone with information to come forward.’
