ETO suspends JE PSPCL during the meeting; Terminates the service of an employee of a private company

Takes stock of development works in Moga District
Punjab Newsline, Moga/Chandigarh, August 23-Punjab’s Cabinet Minister, Harbhajan Singh, held a meeting with senior district officials today to review the progress of development works and welfare schemes in Moga. During the meeting, he suspended a Junior Engineer (JE) of PSPCL (Sub Division Bilaspur) on the spot for allegedly demanding money for work. A private company employee was also terminated on the spot for corruption. Some officials were issued show-cause notices for poor performance and not attending the meeting.
The Minister directed officials to start the approved projects as soon as possible, make maximum labor cards, rationalize patwaris, and involve elected representatives in foundation stones, inaugurations, and public welfare works. He emphasized that the Punjab government is working hard for the overall development of the state. Timely completion of development works is essential for achieving the goal of overall development of the state.
He also instructed officials to connect schools, hospitals, and Ayush hospitals with solar energy. He said that the maximum benefit should be provided to people from the ‘Aap Di Sarkar-Aap De Duar’ campaign.
