A grand pilgrimage site will be constructed at ‘Rakasan’, the birthplace of Lord Parshuram located in Nawanshahr assembly constituency. This announcement was made by Union Tourism and Cultural Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in a grand program held at ‘Rakasan’ on Thursday.
Shekhawat said that when Dr. Subhash Sharma told him about this historical place, he himself decided to pay obeisance here. He told that Lord Parshuram is revered by the entire society. This historical place will be made a big center of culture and tourism. He said that Punjab has a huge cultural heritage & Modi government is committed to save it. Shekhawat said that foreign invaders attacked and hatched conspiracies to harm Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture, but our culture and religion are still alive. This is proof that Sanatan Dharma is an eternal truth.Speaking on the occasion, former state president of Punjab BJP Ashwani Sharma said that today it is a matter of happiness for every punjabi that the birthplace of Lord Parshuram ji will become a grand pilgrimage soon. Thanking Shekhawat for this, he said that he is happy that the efforts made by Dr. Subhash Sharma have borne fruit.
